A woman’s brain is so structured
that while she listens to a speaker, she can still hear and process other
conversation going on around her.
Women are not capable of tuning
out sounds in their environment. A woman’s ears are always open and can accommodate
as many sounds as there are in her environment. Of course, we know that stems
from women’s snooping nature (women love to gossip).
Women are more likely to notice change
in tone of a speaker more than their male counterpart. Take mothers for
instance, a simple answer to a how are you question from a child to a mother
exposes our underlying feelings and emotions to our mothers. They notice subtle
changes in octave quicker than men. This is due to how a woman’s brain is
wired. A woman’s brain is wired to be caring on a personal level; this requires
a great deal of listening.
This doesn’t put men in any kind
of disadvantage whatsoever. Men are just wired to be better problem solver and
lesser listener. Whereas men hear words, women hear not just words but context.
Another fact which proves women make better listeners is the existence of an
emotional part in women. Women are structured to connect with people, listen
and share stories.
The emotional need to connect is
why wives are more probable to listen better to their husbands and children
than vice versa. As earlier noted women are nosy, meddlesome and love to know about
anything that goes on around them. As a result of this, women tend to have
their ears open and always ready for stories and new sounds. Women do make good
listeners.
