Thank you Death
You brought the elusive peace
Funny how we dreaded you, then suddenly anticipated
you
She was dead before her death, heartbroken since
the 1960’s
After the heartbreaks, came enemies of good health
Attacking first a leg then both legs
From a woman full of life to a mere ghost shadow
No one saw but heard of
Her feet could no longer leave or come as her mind
pleases
Each night her eyes were red, her heart filled with
such pains
Yet her family maintained hope, they prayed
fervently
Their prayers always never answered
As her body joined the legs in deterioration, her mind
is the only living
Heart beyond broken, eyes no longer able to produce
tears
Her family’s prayers were no longer united
Suffer more, she was not to, death came knocking
“Finally” heaved part of her family
In the briefest of moments, her lips held a happy
smile
After so many heartbreaks, happiness crossed her
path again
Her love awaits at the other side; her breath ceases,
leaving an expected feeling
Death has given all peace. A much welcomed one
Thank you death for this time only
